Esta semana tuvimos el agrado de recibir a Sol Boschi, representante de Cambridge International para el Cono Sur, en nuestra Sede Providencia, en una jornada muy especial de encuentro con nuestros estudiantes, profesores y equipo académico.Como Cambridge International Associate School, valoramos especialmente estas instancias que nos permiten compartir nuestro trabajo, intercambiar experiencias y continuar avanzando en la implementación de los programas Cambridge y en el desarrollo de experiencias de aprendizaje de excelencia para nuestros estudiantes.Sol contó con un especial comité de bienvenida, integrado por estudiantes de los distintos cursos, quienes asumieron con mucho entusiasmo el rol de anfitriones y la acompañaron durante su recorrido por las salas de clases.La visita comenzó en Pre-Kinder, donde Sol participó de una sesión de Mindfulness junto a los niños. Luego, en Kinder, disfrutó de una presentación de canciones y conversó con las profesoras sobre distintas estrategias de trabajo para favorecer el aprendizaje y la sana convivencia. Además, tuvo la oportunidad de conocer a nuestros queridos pollitos tejidos, que cada fin de semana acompañan a nuestros estudiantes en casa.Posteriormente, Sol recorrió todos los cursos de Junior, donde los niños se presentaron uno a uno y tuvieron la oportunidad de conversar brevemente con ella, compartiendo de manera cercana parte de su experiencia en el colegio.La jornada continuó con una reunión junto a los integrantes del Equipo Académico de las Sedes Ñuñoa y Providencia, liderado por nuestra Directora Académica, Miss Cynthia Saavedra, instancia en la que pudieron compartir sobre nuestro trabajo académico y la implementación del programa Cambridge International en nuestro colegio.Agradecemos sinceramente a Sol Boschi por su visita, su cercanía y la oportunidad de compartir con nuestra comunidad educativa. Para Kendal English School, ser parte de la comunidad Cambridge International representa un compromiso permanente con la excelencia, el desarrollo de nuestros estudiantes y una educación con perspectiva internacional.  This week, we were delighted to welcome Sol Boschi, Cambridge International Representative for the Southern Cone, to our Providencia Campus for a very special day of connection with our students, teachers and Academic Team.As a Cambridge International Associate School, we particularly value these opportunities to share our work, exchange experiences and continue advancing in the implementation of Cambridge programmes and the development of high-quality learning experiences for our students.Sol was welcomed by a special Welcome Committee, made up of students from different year levels, who enthusiastically took on the role of hosts and accompanied her throughout her visit to the classrooms.The visit began in Pre-Kinder, where Sol joined the children for a Mindfulness session. She then visited Kinder, where she enjoyed a song presentation and spoke with the teachers about different strategies to foster both learning and positive relationships within the classroom. She also had the opportunity to meet our beloved knitted chicks, which spend each weekend at home with one of our students.Sol then visited all the Junior classes, where the children introduced themselves one by one and had the opportunity to have a brief conversation with her, sharing a little about their experience at Kendal.The visit continued with a meeting with members of the Academic Teams from our Ñuñoa and Providencia Campuses, led by our Academic Director, Miss Cynthia Saavedra. This provided an opportunity to share our academic work and discuss the implementation of the Cambridge International programme at our school.We are sincerely grateful to Sol Boschi for her visit, her warmth and the opportunity to connect with our school community. El viernes 21 de agosto vivimos una jornada llena de curiosidad, aprendizaje y entusiasmo con la realización de nuestra Science Fair 2026 en Sede Providencia, una instancia en la que nuestros estudiantes de 1° a 4° básico se transformaron en pequeños científicos para compartir sus conocimientos, investigaciones y experimentos.Durante las últimas semanas, nuestros estudiantes trabajaron con gran dedicación en la preparación de sus proyectos, poniendo en práctica distintas habilidades científicas como observar, formular preguntas, investigar, experimentar, analizar resultados y comunicar sus conclusiones.Durante la feria, cada grupo tuvo la oportunidad de presentar y explicar su proyecto, demostrando no solo los conocimientos adquiridos en Science, sino también importantes habilidades como la comunicación, el trabajo en equipo, la creatividad y la confianza para expresarse frente a otros.Fue una jornada especialmente significativa, en la que pudimos ver a nuestros niños y niñas entusiasmados por aprender, descubrir y compartir lo que habían preparado. Cada experimento y presentación fue el reflejo de semanas de esfuerzo, compromiso y acompañamiento por parte de sus profesoras.Felicitamos a todos nuestros estudiantes por su excelente participación y agradecemos especialmente a nuestros/as profesores/as y a todo el equipo de Sede Providencia por el compromiso, dedicación y cariño puestos en la preparación de esta actividad.¡Estamos muy orgullosos de nuestros pequeños científicos!  Science Fair 2026: Science Came to Life at Kendal English School!On Friday, August 21st, our Providencia Branch was filled with curiosity, learning and excitement as we celebrated our Science Fair 2026, an opportunity for our 1st to 4th Grade students to become young scientists and proudly share their knowledge, investigations and experiments.Over the past few weeks, our students worked with great dedication to prepare their projects, putting important scientific skills into practice, such as observing, asking questions, investigating, experimenting, analysing results and communicating their conclusions.Throughout the fair, each group had the opportunity to present and explain their project, demonstrating not only the knowledge they have acquired in Science, but also important skills such as communication, teamwork, creativity and confidence when speaking in front of others.It was a particularly meaningful day, as we had the opportunity to see our students excited about learning, discovering and sharing what they had prepared. Every experiment and presentation reflected weeks of effort, commitment and guidance from their teachers.We congratulate all our students on their excellent participation and extend a special thank you to our teachers and the entire Providencia Branch team for the commitment, dedication and care they put into making this event possible.We are incredibly proud of our young scientists!

En este Día del Niño, celebramos a nuestros estudiantes bajo el lema “Heroes of Tomorrow”, reconociendo sus sueños, sus cualidades únicas y las infinitas posibilidades que tienen por delante.Durante esta celebración, nuestros estudiantes disfrutaron de una jornada especial llena de diversión, risas, juegos, disfraces y momentos memorables junto a sus compañeros y profesores. This Children’s Day, we celebrated our students under the theme “Heroes of Tomorrow”, honouring their dreams, unique qualities, and the endless possibilities that lie ahead of them.During this celebration, our students enjoyed a special day filled with fun, laughter, games, costumes, and memorable moments shared with their classmates and teachers. We didn’t just celebrate childhood; the day was an opportunity to remind our students how much they are valued and how deeply we believe in them.We believe in our children above all else: in their abilities, their ideas, their kindness, their curiosity, their capacity to overcome challenges and grow into the people they are meant to become. Every question they ask, every new thing they learn, every challenge they face, and every dream they imagine is part of the journey that will shape their future. “Heroes of Tomorrow” reminds us that heroes do not have to wear capes. Con mucha alegría reconocemos a los estudiantes que obtuvieron los primeros lugares en el torneo "Ajedrez en Aula", una instancia que puso a prueba su estrategia, perseverancia y capacidad para enfrentar desafíos con inteligencia y respeto.Más que un juego, el ajedrez es una poderosa herramienta educativa. Desde las neurociencias, se ha demostrado que su práctica favorece el desarrollo de funciones ejecutivas como la planificación, la memoria de trabajo, el control de impulsos y la flexibilidad cognitiva. Con mucha alegría, música y entusiasmo, nuestra comunidad vivió el cierre del Módulo 1 del Taller Socioemocional "Sembrando Semillas de Bondad" a través de una hermosa jornada llamada "Carnaval por la Bondad".La actividad comenzó con todos los estudiantes reunidos en el patio techado, donde fueron sorprendidos por la llegada de Miss Chichi acompañada por la música de su saxo, creando un ambiente mágico y lleno de entusiasmo. Posteriormente, Miss Elena dio inicio oficial a la jornada, junto a Miss Cynthia, Teacher Jorge y Miss Lili, invitando a todos a disfrutar de este especial momento de encuentro y reflexión.Durante la mañana, los estudiantes participaron en ejercicios de mindfulness guiados por Miss Alejandra, disfrutaron de un cuento sobre las virtudes y compartieron acciones de bondad que habían realizado durante las últimas semanas. Estas fueron guardadas en un cofre especial y leídas por Miss Elena y Teacher Jorge ante la atenta escucha de nuestra querida muñeca Jacinta.Jacinta, muy contenta por todas las experiencias compartidas, conversó con los niños sobre el significado de la bondad y la importancia de poner en práctica valores como el respeto, la empatía, la generosidad, la amistad, la gratitud y la solidaridad en la vida cotidiana. Jacinta quedó tan impresionada por nuestras Semillas de Bondad, que las transformó en un lindo árbol, Naranjín.La jornada finalizó con los Guardianes del Medioambiente y Teacher Jorge plantando a Naranjín, y con unas emotivas palabras de Miss Elena, el Hermano Nadio y Teacher Jorge, para luego dar paso a entretenidas actividades circenses, música y coloridos pajaritos de fuego que llenaron de alegría este cierre de módulo.A lo largo de estas semanas, los estudiantes participaron en diversas experiencias diseñadas para fortalecer sus habilidades socioemocionales, promoviendo la sana convivencia, el trabajo colaborativo, el autocuidado y el desarrollo de valores fundamentales para construir una comunidad cada vez más amable y respetuosa.Agradecemos a todos quienes hicieron posible esta significativa experiencia y felicitamos a nuestros estudiantes por su entusiasmo, compromiso y disposición para sembrar pequeñas acciones de bondad cada día.&nbsp;Nos despedimos por estas vacaciones de invierno con el corazón lleno de aprendizajes y buenos recuerdos, y esperamos reencontrarnos a la vuelta para continuar nuestro Taller Socioemocional, donde seguiremos descubriendo y fortaleciendo los valores que nos ayudan a crecer como personas y como comunidad.&nbsp;&nbsp;With great joy, music, and enthusiasm, our community celebrated the conclusion of Module 1 of our Social-Emotional Learning Workshop, Planting Seeds of Kindness, with a wonderful event called the Kindness Carnival.The day began with all students gathered in the covered playground, where they were delighted by the arrival of Miss Chichi, accompanied by the beautiful sound of her saxophone, creating a magical and joyful atmosphere. Miss Elena then officially opened the event, joined by Miss Cynthia, Teacher Jorge, and Miss Lili, inviting everyone to enjoy this special time of reflection and togetherness.Throughout the morning, students took part in mindfulness activities led by Miss Alejandra, listened to a story about virtues, and shared acts of kindness they had carried out over the past few weeks. These were placed inside a special treasure chest and later read aloud by Miss Elena and Teacher Jorge while our beloved doll, Jacinta, listened attentively.Delighted by all the wonderful experiences that had been shared, Jacinta spoke with the children about the true meaning of kindness and the importance of practicing values such as respect, empathy, generosity, friendship, gratitude, and solidarity in everyday life. She was so inspired by our Seeds of Kindness that she magically transformed them into a beautiful orange tree named Naranjín.The celebration concluded with our Environmental Guardians and Teacher Jorge planting Naranjín, followed by heartfelt closing words from Miss Elena, Brother Nadio, and Teacher Jorge. The festivities then continued with fun circus activities, lively music, and colourful fire birds that filled the campus with joy and excitement.Over the past few weeks, our students have participated in a variety of meaningful experiences designed to strengthen their social-emotional skills, encouraging positive relationships, teamwork, self-care, and the development of essential values that help build an ever kinder and more respectful community.We would like to thank everyone who helped make this meaningful experience possible and congratulate our students for their enthusiasm, commitment, and willingness to plant small seeds of kindness each and every day.As we begin our Winter Holidays, we do so with hearts full of wonderful memories and valuable lessons. En el marco de la tercera sesión del Módulo 1 del taller socioemocional “Sembrando Semillas de Bondad”, nuestros estudiantes disfrutaron de una entretenida jornada al aire libre en el Parque Alberto Hurtado.La actividad comenzó con un picnic compartido y continuó con una dinámica grupal de búsqueda de tesoros, donde los participantes trabajaron junto a sus compañeros para resolver pistas, superar desafíos y descubrir una palabra secreta. Tras recorrer distintas estaciones y colaborar en equipo, encontraron el mensaje central de la jornada: Respeto, valor fundamental para la comunicación, las relaciones positivas y la sana convivencia.Para finalizar este encuentro, los estudiantes compartieron una alegre completada, fortaleciendo los lazos de compañerismo en un ambiente de cercanía y alegría.Esta experiencia refleja el compromiso de nuestro colegio con una formación integral, basada en valores que promueven el crecimiento personal, la empatía y el respeto por los demás. Tal como lo señala nuestro Proyecto Educativo, buscamos formar estudiantes reflexivos, comprometidos y capaces de construir relaciones positivas, contribuyendo así a una comunidad escolar cada vez más amable, inclusiva y respetuosa.&nbsp;&nbsp;As part of the third session of Module 1 of the socio-emotional workshop “Planting Seeds of Kindness”, our students enjoyed a fun and meaningful outdoor experience at Parque Alberto Hurtado.The day began with a picnic and continued with a group treasure hunt, where students worked together to solve clues, complete challenges, and uncover a secret word. Through teamwork, communication, and collaboration, they eventually discovered the key message of the day: Respect, a fundamental value for positive communication, healthy relationships, and a strong school community.To conclude the activity, students shared a delicious hot dog lunch, enjoying a joyful moment of friendship and togetherness.This experience reflects our school's commitment to an education grounded in values that promote personal growth, empathy, and respect for others. ¡Un viaje al Reino Unido sin salir de Providencia!El pasado 25 de junio, nuestra Sede Providencia se llenó de banderas, cultura, historia y mucha alegría durante la celebración de la British Fair, una jornada que nos permitió conocer y aprender más sobre las tradiciones, personajes, lugares emblemáticos y costumbres del Reino Unido.A lo largo de la actividad, nuestros estudiantes compartieron con entusiasmo los conocimientos adquiridos sobre la geografía, gastronomía, cultura y curiosidades británicas, demostrando un gran compromiso y preparación.Un momento muy especial de la jornada fue la encantadora presentación de los más pequeños, quienes nos deleitaron con su interpretación de London Bridge, llenando el ambiente de sonrisas y entusiasmo.También disfrutamos aprendiendo junto a 1st grade de Paddington y acompañando las entretenidas exposiciones preparadas por los estudiantes de 2nd, 3rd y 4th Grade, quienes recibieron a los visitantes con creatividad, energía y mucho orgullo por su trabajo.Queremos realizar un reconocimiento especial a los apoderados de 2nd Grade por su valiosa colaboración en la elaboración del espectacular pendón de Buckingham Palace y del trono del Rey, elementos que dieron un toque único y muy especial a esta celebración.Porque en esta British Fair no solo aprendimos sobre el Reino Unido; también compartimos, participamos y disfrutamos de una experiencia llena de entusiasmo y trabajo en equipo.¡Felicitaciones a toda la comunidad Kendal por hacer de esta British Fair una experiencia tan significativa y entretenida! Agradecemos especialmente al Equipo Providencia por su apoyo, compromiso y entusiasmo, que fueron fundamentales para el éxito de esta actividad.&nbsp;&nbsp;A Journey to the United Kingdom Without Leaving Providencia!On June 25th, our Providencia Campus was filled with flags, culture, history, and excitement as we celebrated our British Fair, a special event that allowed us to learn more about the traditions, famous figures, iconic landmarks, and customs of the United Kingdom.Throughout the day, our students enthusiastically shared their knowledge about British geography, gastronomy, culture, and interesting facts, demonstrating great preparation and commitment.One of the most memorable moments of the event was the delightful performance by our youngest students, who charmed the audience with their rendition of London Bridge, filling the atmosphere with smiles and joy.We also enjoyed learning alongside Paddington and visiting the engaging presentations prepared by our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade students, who welcomed visitors with creativity, enthusiasm, and pride in their work.We would like to extend a special thank you to the parents and guardians of 2nd Grade for their valuable contribution in creating the impressive Buckingham Palace backdrop and the King’s throne, which added a unique and memorable touch to the celebration.At this British Fair, we not only learned about the United Kingdom, but also shared, participated, and enjoyed an experience full of enthusiasm, collaboration, and teamwork.Congratulations to the entire Kendal community for making this British Fair such a meaningful and enjoyable experience!
